Small and Large Animal Veterinary Services
Small Animal Wellness Care
An owner's daily effort to provide proper nutrition, enrichment and optimal living conditions for your beloved pet does not go unnoticed. The same holds true for their annual wellness care. During your pets annual visit, they are being reviewed by a licensed Veterinarian to ensure that they continue to maintain optimal health. It is not uncommon to identify early life changes in your pet during their annual wellness visit. Staying atop of these life changes and in front of disease will ensure your pets longevity.
Small Animal Medical Care
Our domestic pets take on similar disease as do we; whether it be an age-related disorder or something they are born with. They can be successfully managed with medical challenges such as heart failure, diabetes, and kidney disease just to name a few. Our team is well versed in diagnosing, treating and developing long term management plans ensuring your pet's health and longevity.
Small Animal Surgery & Dentistry
Our team thrives on restoring order to your pet and improving their physical needs. Whether it be an unforeseen disease, trauma or a pesky tooth; our staff is well versed and happy to accommodate your pet's anesthetic, surgical, and dental needs. We will provide you and your family with a sense of peace as we analyze your pet's health and provide a step-by-step management plan specific to your pet's wellness.
Small Animal Behavior & Consultations
Not all "bad" behavior is created equal. What we perceive to be anxiety may be rooted in another cause. It is important to first rule out potential underlying medical challenge triggering an undesirable behavior. If we determine that your pet is sound with regards to their health, then we will work to better understood and improve upon their less than desirable behaviors (ie: overgrooming, excessive vocalization, social inconsistency, inability to take direction, etc.). With your input and our understanding of animal behavior we will provide you with tutelage and a plan to improve your relationship with your pet. Our goal is to restore balance within your home.
Small Animal Palliative & End of Life Care
When our patients are working through end-of-life matters, we strive to provide medical understanding and guidance to our families. We too appreciate that saying good-bye to a good friend is never an easy thing to do. Our goal is to ensure that both you and your pet are at peace as they work through a life-limiting illness. When the time comes to say farewell, our staff is honored to accommodate both you and your pet with in-home euthanasia.
Cosmetic Care - Lonestar Veterinary Services
Cosmetic ear cropping is a stylistic choice of the pet owner. While we can appreciate that this is hot topic in dog ownership communities, we fully respect the owner's decision to pursue surgical care. We focus on providing a proper educational platform for the clients to yield optimal results. Our Veterinary staff yields over 15 years of surgical experience, 10 of which have been tailored to cosmetic surgery.
Large Animal Wellness Services
An owner's daily commitment to provide balanced nutrition; safe, well-maintained housing; and other care for large animals such as horses, cattle and other livestock does not go unnoticed. The same level of care is essential when it comes to their annual wellness evaluations. During these visits, a licensed veterinarian performs a comprehensive health assessment, including but not limited to body condition scoring, lameness evaluations, dental checks, parasite management review, and vaccine updates tailored to the animals' environment and workload. This helps establish a VCPR (veterinary-client-patient-relationship) so that we can help provide information and service to you and your animal or herd for the following year. While our large animals are experts at masking discomfort, It is not uncommon for early indicators of disease to be identified by the veterinary team during routine exams. These subtle changes would otherwise go undetected without regular veterinary oversight. Staying proactive with herd or individual health management, and addressing concerns early, plays a critical role in supporting the longevity, performance, reproductive health, and overall well-being of your pet and herd investment.
Large Animal Medical Services
Large animals, such as horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs can develop many disease processes. These diseases can be successfully managed and or resolved with the proper medical direction. Lameness, arthritis, respiratory, and reproductive disorders are just a few challenges that your pet or herd may face on the farm. Our team is experienced in diagnosing these conditions, and much more, through physical exams, laboratory testing, diagnositics and herd level evaluations. We develop customized treatment and long-term management plans that include nutritional adjustments, medication protocols, in addition to preventative strategies. By taking a proactive and species-specific approach, we help ensure the productivity and longevity of your animals.

Large Animal Surgical Services
Our team is dedicated to restoring health and function in large animals by addressing their unique physical demands. Whether managing an acute illness, treating traumatic injuries, or correcting dental abnormalities, our staff is highly experienced in providing safe field sedation, anesthesia, and surgical care when warranted. We are equipped to handle a wide range of conditions and take a thorough, step-by-step approach tailored to each animal’s role, whether performance, production, or breeding. Our goal is to give owners confidence and peace of mind while ensuring the long-term health, comfort, and productivity of their animals.
Large Animal End of Life Services
When large animals are facing end-of-life considerations, our team is committed to providing compassionate guidance and clear medical support to owners and caretakers. We understand that making decisions for animals such as horses, cattle, and other livestock can be both emotionally and practically challenging, especially when they have been long-term companions, valuable breeding animals, or integral to your operation. Our goal is to ensure that you are fully informed and supported as your animal experiences a life-limiting condition, whether due to chronic illness, injury, or age-related decline. We focus on maintaining dignity as we provide on-farm euthanasia services in a setting that is safe and appropriate for large animals.
